Halo Hair and Scalp Lounge
Head spa and hair salon, Yungaburra. A beautiful Canva site that search engines couldn't read, rebuilt with the same look so Google and AI assistants can find it, in the owner's own accounts.
Where it started
Halo had a lot going for it: a good-looking website on Canva, a five-star Google rating, and a head spa service nobody else on the Tablelands offered. None of that was reaching the people searching for it. To a search engine or an AI assistant, the Canva site was a blank: no headings, no page titles or descriptions, nothing to say what the business did or where, and no way to add any of it.
What we did
The site was rebuilt with the same look: her colours, photos and words carried across, with a page for each service. Underneath, it was built for search engines and AI as well as people, with one consistent business name, phone number and address everywhere. It sits in accounts that belong to the business, with me as a helper, not a dependency.
Emily got a private owner space on her own website, where she writes and publishes articles herself, from her phone. She also has the Design Studio, for gift vouchers, flyers and social posts in Halo's own colours and fonts.
Visibility
Every page is now in Google, under one business name, and Halo shows up when locals search for a head spa or a hairdresser on the Tablelands. AI assistants can read the whole site, and in our regular tests ChatGPT and Gemini now suggest Halo when asked.
Security
Halo was already in reasonable shape: I'd helped Emily tighten up her email security and her domain settings before the rebuild. Taking over the website itself closed the rest. There's nothing to patch and no admin password to leak, her owner space sits behind a one-time code sent to her email, and the site is checked every day.
The impact on the business
Emily is busier than she's ever been. Customers now find Halo on Google and in AI assistants, and book, call or buy gift cards straight from the website. And the site costs nothing a month to run beyond the domain she already had.
In their own words
Before Cam took over the website, I often heard from people "I didn't know you were here". After he re-built my site, my online bookings increased dramatically and there was a lot more foot traffic after people found me online and came in to see for themselves.
Cam made things so easy, it really was like I had to do basically nothing at all.... answer a few questions and that was about it. He was able to make my site reflect my brand and my voice.
